DBA Analytical Offers GMP Training Class

ANN ARBOR, Mich.—NSF International-owned company, DBA Analytical is offering a GMP (good manufacturing practice) training class that will help educate and prepare manufacturers of dietary supplements for new GMP requirements.

When/Where:

The two-day training course will be held on Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST at NSF International Headquarters located at 789 N. Dixboro Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Click here for map

Who Should Attend:

This course is geared to those individuals involved in the dietary supplement industry, including those from the following areas: manufacturing, laboratory operations, suppliers and distributors, auditing, management, labeling, regulatory affairs and quality control/assurance.

How to Register:

Registration is $1,495 per person and includes the cost of the course guidebook, continental breakfast and lunch. Participants that register before May 29 will receive a $200 discount. Background on the GMP Training Class

The dietary supplement GMP requirements went into effect in 2008 for companies with 500 or more employees. The same regulations for companies with less than 500 employees are being mandated by June of this year while smaller companies of less than 20 employees will have until June 2010 to comply.

This extensive two-day training course on 21 CFR 111, the cGMPs in manufacturing, packaging, labeling or holding operations for dietary supplements, will also cover:

• The History of cGMPs
• The Code of Federal Regulations, Pharmacopoeias and Guidance
• Documents as source information
• FDA background information and what to expect during an FDA audit
• Detailed information on the GMPs for dietary supplements and guidance on implementation into your facility
