FDA GMP Forum Available Through Teleconferencing, Internet
SECAUCUS, N.J.--The May 4 forum at which the Foodand Drug Administration (FDA) will answer industry questions regarding thefederal good manufacturing practices (GMPs) will be made available viateleconferencing and the Internet for those who are unable to attend in person
"We already have well over 100 people registered to attendin person, and we think the demand for the live teleForum will be big aswell," said Jon Benninger, director of business development at VirgoPublishing, which is hosting the FDA forum at its annual tradeshow, SupplySideEast. "This is a great chance to hear FDA discuss the GMP proposal andanswer questions from industry."
The FDA panel will include Karen Strauss, consumer safetyofficer in the FDA Division of Standards and Labeling Regulations; RichardWilliams, director of FDA's Division of Market Studies; and Steve Musser, seniorchemist at FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN).
The audio portion of the event will be available live through atoll-free phone number, while the FDA slide presentation will be available overthe Internet. The total cost for this is $49, although in-person attendance isfree. The number of participants is limited, and registration closes April 30 oras soon as capacity is met.
