FDA, U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, NAFFS Members Among SupplySide East Education Program Additions

PHOENIXVirgo Publishing announced several new additions to the three-day Education Program at SupplySide East, April 26 to 28 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ. The program features dedicated tracks for food and beverage, cosmeceutical and nutrition topics. The two nutrition tracks are sponsored by EPAX AS.


Additions include:



  • FDAs senior advisor for CFSAN, Carl Reynolds, will address the supplement industry for the first time in his new role in the Featured Speaker presentation titled An Overview of GMP Inspections from FDAs Vantage Point

  • U.S. Anti-Doing Agencys Amy Eichner, Ph.D., will examine sports nutrition and safe supplements

  • David Williams from Living Naturally LLC to discuss successful strategies to reach retailers and consumers simultaneously

  • NAFFS members Cathianne Leonardi, a flavorist for Allen Flavors Inc.; Patrick McNamara, Esq., partner at Scarinci Hollenbeck; and Scott Nadison, flavor business unit director at Flavor & Fragrance Specialties Inc. will offer a flavors update

  • InnerSource Natural Health and Acupuncture PCs Peter Bongiorno, N.D. will examine ingredient research relating to heart health

  • AOACs immediate past president, currently with Covance Laboratories, Darryl Sullivan, will present the session on methods validation

  • Barnes & Thornburg LLP counsel Julie A. Dykstra to deliver the Safety and Efficacy for Natural Cosmeceutical Ingredients session

  • Pina LoGiudice, N.D., co-director of InnerSource Natural Health and Acupuncture PC, will discuss the latest ingredient science for the immune health category

  • Este Lauders former R&D executive director and current president of Personal Care Tech Solutions, Mindy Goldstein, Ph.D., will speak about the ingredient criteria personal care manufacturers use when selecting suppliers
