Flavor & Fragrance Specialties Gains Level 2 SQF Certification

MAHWAH, N.J.Flavor & Fragrance Specialties, Inc. (FFS) recently attained certification as a Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Level 2 Food Manufacturer from the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF). The company scored 98 out of a possible 100.
Certification assures that the food products consumers are buying have passed rigorous international standards for food safety and quality, including HACCP. SQF is the only certification program outside Europe recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), which links primary production certification to food manufacturing, distribution and agent/broker management certification.
With the certification, FFS will be better able to provide proof of its already strict food-safety practices, provide a platform for consistent quality/safety improvements and streamline risk and process management. It also will increase brand protection, consumer confidence and loyalty.
