Jost Expands Manufacturing Facility

ST. LOUISJost Chemical announced plans to build a new 100,000- square-foot production facility on five acres of land it purchased next to its existing site. The new building will include warehouse, laboratory and office space, and will double Josts current production capacity. The companys existing 85,000-square-foot facility was built in 1986.

Jost serves the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, and growth in both arenas necessitated the expansion. Because we serve the pharmaceutical market, we are registered with the Food and Drug Administration and follow all GMPs [good manufacturing practices], said Jeff Lenger, director of sales and marketing. As quality awareness increases in the natural products market, our ability to meet these stringent requirements is becoming even more important.
