CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.AIDP's KoACT® received GRAS (generally recognized as safe) status after AIBMR Life Sciences Inc. evaluated its safety assessment and concluded its intended use as a food ingredient is produced in accordance with GMPs (good manufacturing practices).

With GRAS status, KoACT can now be marketed in functional food applications in the United States. It was already previously available in tablets, capsules and soft-gels.

KoACT is a patented chelated compound of calcium and hydrolyzed collagen peptides that has been shown to increase both bone strength and bone mineral density (BMD) in animal studies and in a recent human study to increase biomarkers of bone growth.
