WARMINSTER, Pa.L. B. Bohle launched BTM Turbo Mills for manufacturers to increase the viability of wet or dry ingredients. The BTM 150 and BTM 300 mills employ dual-sided blade assemblies that have a hammer-like side to shatter dry materials and a knife-like side to slice wet materials. Users simply flip the rotor based on their ingredient. The high-speed (1,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm) rotor reduces the material size so it can be discharged through a screen that regulates the final particle dimension to 40 µm to 500 µm based on screen selection. The BTM 150 outputs about 1,500 kg/hr, and the BTM 300 outputs about 2,500 kg/hr.

BTM mills are current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) compliant and use 316 stainless steel for all parts that contact ingredients. The mills are mobile, compact and feature a variable height adjustment that lets these units fit into almost any production line. Product is evenly filled into the milling chamber via a rotating valve that protects against overfilling. Both units feature integrated mobile lifting columns.
