NSF Announces Certifications

ANN ARBOR, Mich.--NSF International announced two certifications. First, it certified Topco's Top Care brand dietary supplements. NSF (www.nsf.org) conducted formulation reviews, plant audits and laboratory testing to ensure the products met all requirements of NSF's American National Standard 173. The products may now carry the NSF Mark on their labels, showing they have been independently evaluated and certified.

Second, NSF awarded GMP (good manufacturing practices) registration to Contract Pharmacal Corp. NSF conducted a plant audit at the company's facility in Hauppauge, N.Y., to verify conformance to NSF's GMPs. "Our company has always believed in the importance of guaranteeing the identity, purity, quality, strength and composition of its products," said Matt Wolf, vice president of sales at Contract Pharmacal (www.contractpharmacal.com). The company currently provides more than 1,000 pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products.
