ANN ARBOR, Mich.NSF International launched a new GMP (good manufacturing practice) program, One Step Ahead, in response to an announcement from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) that the federal GMP regulations for dietary supplements have been returned to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for publication. NSFs program includes a Web-based service center (www.nsfgmps.org) developed to help manufacturers comply with federal GMPs; NSF has offered registration to its own cGMPs for several years. Under the new program, manufacturers can receive a GMP source book with standard operating procedure (SOP) templates and a trial self-audit tool for GMP compliance.
