ANN ARBOR, Mich.--NSF International is offering Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) registration for contract manufacturers of dietary supplements. Companies that have completed the process and met the requirements receive certificates of NSF registration and are listed on the NSF Web site (www.nsf.org). Semi-annual audits will be conducted to verify continued conformance.

According to NSF, the GMP registration program will decrease time and cost of receiving third party testing and certification through the NSF Dietary Supplements Certification Program. NSF also recognizes GMP audits conducted by the National Nutritional Foods Association (NNFA) for contract manufacturers' initial qualifications for registration in the certification program.
