Jason Provenzano, president of Nutricap Labs, said he started the company "because I was dealing with so many poor manufacturing companies," and said his experience as a vitamin seller taught him customer service is crucial for a manufacturing company.

In a Q&A article on Newsday.com, Provenzano, 41, talks about the manufacturing business and where Nutricap Labs is heading in the future. He said the recession hasnt negatively affected the vitamin industry because healthy people take vitamins despite hard economic times.

He noted future growth for the company will come from a new line for doctors called Doctor's Recommendation, and explained the type of person he wants to hire is dedicated to the company enough to work long hours.  He added he likes to lead by example, staying late and working weekends.
