SUNRISE, Fla.—Originates Inc. (formerly GMI Gelatin) expanded its bovine-hide gelatin capacity, incorporating two more manufacturing plants in South America.

With more than 30 years experience and increased capacity, Originates is able to supply a vast array of gelatins for food, nutritional, cosmetic, pet and pharmaceutical applications. With even better clarity and color, the lowest possible ash content and consistent specifications including bloom, viscosity and moisture, Originates gelatins are excellent for both soft gel and hard shell capsules films.

“With this most recent expansion Originates reinforces its position as a leading supplier of gelatin in North America and the rest of the world,” said Originates operations manager Daniel Minski.

Originates manufacturing facilities are close to the source of raw materials and they are all certified AIB , ISO 9000/9001, GMP, HACCP, kosher and halal.

The company’s fish oil omega 3-concentrates molecular distillation plant is located in Colombia, close to the source of Peruvian fish oils. Because of this proximity to raw-material sources, Originates is able to maintain the highest level of raw-material freshness. Originates is equipped to meet demand in both the U.S. and the international market place effectively.
