LANCASTER, N.H.P.J. Noyes Co. recently purchased a horizontal form/fill/seal pouch machine, specially tooled to package up to four 1" diameter tablets per pouch, ideal for sampling large tablets. The equipment is also capable of forming stand-up gusseted pouches for tablets, capsules, liquids and gels. David Simpson, business development manager, said: Were excited to have this equipment and capability, as the gusseted pouch market for liquids and gels continues to grow, because the package meets the demands of on-the-go consumers for a convenient, portable, one-time use package. It also provides marketers of tablets and capsules another packaging format that is fresher than the standard bottle or blister packand it really produces a professional sampling package."

Samples produced by the new equipment will be available at the companys booth at SupplySide West (Booth #24114). In addition, P.J. Noyes will be holding a drawing for a Kindle® at its booth to customers who complete a request for quote" form. Our goals at SupplySide West are to introduce both suppliers and companies to our services and capabilities and to stay educated on the new ingredients available to our customers to help improve existing products or develop new ones," Simpson said.
