SupplySide East New Offerings

SECAUCUS, N.J.Virgo Publishing announced several new additions for SupplySide East, April 26 to 28 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center here. A beverage panel developed with Bevnet, GMP (good manufacturing practice) training offered by DBA Associates, and the Featured Speaker presentation by FDAs Carl Reynolds have recently been added to the program.

SupplySide East continues to offer hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of ingredients in the exhibit hall, more than 30 sessions to choose from in the education program and daily networking events, said Peggy Jackson, vice president of Virgo Publishings Health & Nutrition Division. For food, beverage, cosmeceutical and supplement manufacturers, SupplySide East is a must-attend event.

Open to all SupplySide East participants, the Innovation, Trends and Issues in Functional and Enhanced Beverages panel discussion, scheduled for Wednesday, April 28, at 1 p.m., will be moderated by Bevnet publisher, John McKenna. Beverage entrepreneurs Bob Occhifinto, founder/president, NVE Pharmaceuticals, and Kim Ourada, president/COO for Mellow Beverage Co., will be among the panelists examining healthy beverages and success strategies.

DBA Associates, an NSF International company, will present the Official SupplySide GMP Training, based on FDAs initial inspections to offer content designed for real-world applications. The first course, Documentation Management for GMP Compliance, is scheduled for Monday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the second course, FDA GMP Inspection Readiness will be held on Tuesday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to noon. Additional registration is required.

Finally, Carl Reynolds, previously a regulatory consultant for the dietary supplement industry, will address the industry for the first time in his new role as senior FDA advisor for the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), on Wednesday, April 28. Admission into the presentation is included in all registrations.
