SAN JOSE, Calif. Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. introduced the Thermo Scientific Acclaim Trinity Q1 HPLC column for liquid chromatography-mass spectrometery (LC-MS). The columns provide high-resolution and high-throughput trace analysis of the herbicides diquat and paraquat in plants.

These herbicides are considered toxic. The Acclaim Trinity Q1 columns improve diquat and paraquat LC-MS analysis in common terrestrial and aquatic plant matrices. The columns use Nanopolymer Silica Hybrid (NSH) technology, which reduces challenges typically associated with accurately detecting and quantifying the herbicides.

In September, the company debuted Thermo Scientific Accucore XL columns for high-performance liquid chromatography.
