You've gotta love On Demand. I only had time to watch two expert videos from the many posted On Demand as part of Insider's recent Digital Summit on Contract Manufacturing, but in that short period of time, I learned contract manufacturers in the supplement industry are seriously lacking in facility design.

This was compliments of Mollie Kober, MKI Consulting, who is a third-party auditor for NSF international's GMP program. She said supplement facilities are behind where most food companies are in terms of design layout sanitation, cleaning and operational flow. On assessing appropriate and compliant facilities, she suggested companies look at:

  • Ceiling type

  • Hot water supply

  • Drainage

  • HVAC

  • Dust Migration; and

  • Layout

There is so much good info in this digital summit, I hope I find time soon to watch the remaining videos.

Register for free and check them out for yourself. You can watch one at a time and in any order you please. I promise you will learn something useful for your supplement business.
