OGDEN, UtahTrace Minerals Research (TMR) was recertified as compliant with federal GMPs (good manufacturing practices) for dietary supplements by the Natural Products Association (NPA). NPAs GMP certification program meets the requirements of FDAs final cGMP rule [21 CFR 111], and adds specific additional requirements outlined by the Revised NPA cGMP Standard for Dietary Supplements. The association uses third-party auditors to ensure facilities are in compliance.

According to NPAs website, the program ensures that all elements of the manufacturing process are reviewed to provide reasonable assurance that processes are sufficiently controlled so that products meet their established specification for quality, including identity, purity, strength and composition."

Its a proud day for us," said Matt Kilts, managing partner of TMR. Being one of the first companies to be GMP compliant by the NPA with the new FDA regulations was very important to us because quality is one of our core principles at TMR. Back in 2004, we were one of the top 50 companies to become certified GMP by the NPA. It was important to us to be one of the first to be compliant under the new FDA regulations to show our customers that we are committed to providing them the highest quality products."
