Vita-Tech Completes Expansion

TUSTIN, Calif.Private label manufacturer Vita-Tech International, Inc. has completed major components of its expansion program, including increases to its manufacturing capacity, analytical laboratory services and technical team. Heavy metals and microbiological testing will now be performed in the companys on-site, quality assurance/quality control analytical laboratory. All equipment in the companys facilities has been pharmaceutically validated, and the company continues to meet and exceed FDA and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) requirements.

Vita-Tech is installing an ERP (enterprise resource planning) system with capacity for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), which will enable interfacing with the most sophisticated customer technologies and multi-national platforms. Another part of the expansion program is the hiring of David Yihai Jiang, Ph.D. as director of technical services for Vita-Tech; he will be responsible for nutraceutical formulation and development.

Customers will benefit from rapid turnaround on product orders, said Thomas T. Tierney, president of Vita-Tech, which claims to now offer the West Coasts largest capacity for the continuous coating of vitamins and nutraceuticals.  In addition, new analytical testing processes and Ph.D.-level technical personnel have enhanced our total service package for clients. He further noted every ingredient and each step of the manufacturing process is validated and verified in Vita-Techs laboratories.
