VMI Nutrition Earns Award for Entrepreneurship, Growth

SALT LAKE CITY Nutrition Business Journal and Utah Business Magazine recently recognized VMI Nutrition for its growth and entrepreneurship in a sluggish economy. Contract manufacturer VMI specializes in formulation, blending, packaging and testing of nutritional consumer goods. The company, which focuses on dietary food supplements and function food manufacturing, has grown at double-digit rates in recent years.

In 2011, The Nutrition Business Journal awarded VMI with Mid-Size Company Growth Award." The manufacturer was also a finalist in Utah Business Magazine's 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year" award.

The company acquired Vance's Manufacturing Inc. in 2006, which increased revenues nearly ten-fold. The company now has more than 400 employees. VMI is located in Salt Lake City.
