2004 IFT Meeting Sees Changes

CHICAGOThe New Products &Technologies Committee of the IFT (Institute of Food Technologists) AnnualMeeting and IFT Food Expo made changes to its presentation parameters; themeeting and expo will be held July 12 to 16 in Las Vegas.

These changes include any new technology/service/productintroduced commercially within the past three years can be presented, ratherthan just those introduced in the past two years. In addition, only technologiesand services that specifically address the following can be submitted: 1)health-related ingredients and technologies that help developers formulateproducts that address obesity/Atkins diet, diabetes, trans fats replacements andnovel proteins; 2) information management, analytical methodologies andinstrument technologies that increase laboratory effectiveness; 3) processingmethods to control pathogens or new pathogen detection technologies; and 4)resources for combating bioterrorism.
