AHPA Names 2009 Award Winners

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) presented its 2009 AHPA Awards during its member meeting on March 5 in Anaheim, Calif., in conjunction with Natural Products Expo West. The awards were established in 2005 to honor individuals and organizations that make substantive, positive contributions to the herbal products industry. This year’s winners were:
2009 AHPA Hero: Gordon Walker, general counsel, Nature’s Way
2009 AHPA Herbal Insight Award: Philip Waddington, N.D., director general, Natural Health Products Directorate, Health Canada (2000-2008)
2009 AHPA Herbal Industry Leader: Sabinsa Corp.
