Alchem Expands Production, Offerings

NEW DELHI, IndiaAlchemInternational is projecting its production capabilities will reach 2,000 kg bythe end of 2005, with a forecast for 40 tons by 2006 and 75 tons by 2007.Thecompany started commercial production of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) in June 2005 andalso produces Solanesol from raw tobacco. According to Alchem, it has beengrowing at 25 percent annually and is now one of the largest phytochemicalcompanies in the world, with three manufacturing facilities in India. Alchem nowexports to more than 40 countries, with exports accounting for more than 80percent of sales.
