COSTA MESA, Calif.—Alkemists Pharmaceuticals released the results of its most recent random analysis of eight brands of hoodia dietary supplements, which found no adulteration or contamination. The analysis was part of the company’s voluntary Premium Partner Random Analysis Program; participants included Certified Hoodia, Desert Burn, Hoodia Products, HoodiSpray, HoodiThin, HoodiTrim, Nature’s Way (Hoodia Standardized) and Nouvelle Health (Prime Plus).

The company previously tested hoodia supplements in late 2007; Nature’s Way and Nouvelle Health are two new participants in the program. Elan Sudberg, COO and lab manager, Alkemists (Alkemist.com), said: “The voluntary random testing program enables companies, whose products are ready to be scrutinized under the microscope, both literally and figuratively, to showcase their quality. These companies are leading the way in this industry and are differentiating themselves in the marketplace.”
