ADA, Mich.Alticor Inc., the parent company of Amway, reported sales in excess of $9.2 billion for the year ended Dec. 31, 2010, a 9.5 percent increase over sales of $8.4 billion in 2009 and the companys 10th sales increase in the last 11 years. In addition to Amway, the worlds second-largest direct selling enterprise and supplier of the NUTRILITE® brand dietary supplements, Alticor also owns Access Business Group, which provides contract manufacturing services, and Alticor Corporate Enterprises, a holding company for firms including Metagenics and Gurwitch Products.

As Amway is privately held, it does not generally release individual market sales or disclose profitability. However, it noted category sales of NUTRILITE approached $4 billion, driven by category growth, global sponsorships of sports teams and athletes, and its Color Yourself Healthy" campaign that promoted the benefits of plant ingredients for health. Amways ARTISTRY skin care and cosmetic line also saw positive gains, with consumers looking for high-quality skin care and cosmetic products with natural ingredients.
