Andre Pectin Raises Pectin Prices

YANTAI, ChinaAndre Pectin raised its prices for its whole range of pectin products by 10 to 20 percent for all markets and it is effective for all deliveries on and after Nov.1, 2013.

According to Andre Pectin, the company had been experiencing unprecedented price increases in citrus peel and apple pomace for the past two years. The company continually optimizes its cost along the entire value chain and the impact can no longer be offset by improving process efficiency. The company said the end result is a necessary price increase.

Andre Pectin's products can be used in a variety of food applications including jam, fruit spreads, confectionary, fruit preparation of yogurt, beverages, acidified dairy drinks and dietary supplements.
