ASTA President Re-Elected, Committee Chairs Announced

WASHINGTON--The American Spice Trade Association (ASTA)reported the re-election of its president, Louis Sanna. Sanna is the director ofcapsicum marketing for ConAgra Food Ingredients Co., which processes industrialspices, dried vegetables, seasonings and flavors. ASTA (www.astaspice.org)also announced Dan Cooper of Tone Brothers Inc. was elected to a second year asvice president/secretary, and Rod Gray of Spice Hunter Inc. will serve again astreasurer. Several board members were selected to chair executive committees, aswell. Susan Brown, McCormick & Co. Inc., is the new government relationsgroup director; Tim Sonntag, Wixon Fontarome Inc., is the technical groupdirector; Peter Landis, KHL Flavors, is now the trading group director; KazimGurel, Kutas A.S., will serve as the international group director; Tom Mates,Guardion/IBA Group, is ASTA's associate group director; and Allen Davis,McClancy Seasonings Co., seasoning/manufacturers is a group director. Finally,Paul Huebener of Griffith Laboratories, Christopher Pisano of Citrus &Allied Essences Ltd. and Alan Milroy of Jupiter Commodities Inc. will serve asdirectors at large.
