Aventis Sells Animal Nutrition Business
STRASBOURG, France--Aventis and CVC Capital Partners signed anagreement in November concerning the acquisition of Aventis Animal Nutrition byCVC. The closing of the transaction is expected during the first quarter of2002; no financial terms will be disclosed. Aventis Animal Nutrition, which isheadquartered in Antony, France, generated total sales of $514 million in 2000;Aventis (www.aventis.com) corporate salesthat year were approximately $19.9 billion.
