LOS ANGELESAxiom Foods launched a new website, and also announced plans to open a new, ecologically forward-thinking factory by summer 2010.

The new factorys self-sustained ecosystem will utilize rice to both generate energy for producing the companys food-grade rice ingredients, as well as nurture the soil in which the next batch of rice will be grown. The bitter-flavored rice husk is removed, then burned in a carbon-free boiler to produce energy.  The high-potassium husk ash by-product is then used as a silicate supplement rice field fertilizer.  The need for fossil fuel is eliminated and no footprint is left.
