BI Nutraceuticals Debuts New Name, Look

LONG BEACH, Calif.--BI Nutraceuticals debuted itsnew name and look at the SupplySide East Show in Secaucus, N.J., May 6 to 8. BI,a part of Hauser Inc., co-exhibited with RFI Ingredients after Hauser and RFIannounced a strategic alliance in April.

"As we continue to streamline our corporate infrastructureand improve our efficiencies, we believe that unifying our marketing and sellingfunctions under one umbrella creates a more efficient and more customer-friendlyenvironment," said Peter Hafermann, vice president of BI (www.botanicals.com).

Prior to the name change, customers contacted BotanicalsInternational for herbal powders and teas, Botanicals International Extracts forstandardized and ratio extracts, and ZetaPharm for other dietary ingredients. BIwill now handle all products, including cross-marketing RFI's ingredients.
