LONDON--Braes Group, a London-based food ingredients supplier,acquired Overseal Foods, a supplier of natural colors for the food and beverageindustry. The venture capital company 3i backed the $35.25 million acquisition."The acquisition blends perfectly with our goal of being the premierprovider of natural functional food ingredients, delivered in user-friendlyflavor systems," said Nigel Garrow, Braes' chief executive officer. Braes'other divisions include Obipektin AG in Switzerland, a specialty pectinproducer, and Brittania Natural Products Ltd., a supplier of high-performanceflavor and fragrance ingredients.
