Brunswick Laboratories Reports Growth for 2003

WAREHAM, Mass.--Brunswick Laboratories reported its revenues grew 165percent in 2003, while the number of employees doubled. According to JimNichols, chief operating officer, the growth was fueled by customer demandregarding antioxidant capacity of dietary supplement products. "Also, wehave been very busy in our R&D efforts, whether in publicly funded SBIRresearch or private ventures with major medical institutions and consumerproducts companies," he said. "Most of these projects investigatehealth factors and disease conditions in patients."

Brunswick (www.brunswicklabs.com)also completed development of new assays for COX-1 and COX-2 inhibition.Brunswick adapted the current oxygraph method, which works to quantify COXinhibition capacity, on a more economically feasible scale.
