CA Passes Prop. 2 Banning Conventional Egg Production

California voters voted overwhelmingly in favor of Proposition 2, putting a halt to conventional egg production in the state. Under the law, egg producers cannot use conventional cages, so laying hens can enjoy the same freedoms as free-range chickens, such as dust bathing and stretching their wings.
