Cargill Promotes CoroWise Products to Dietitians

MINNEAPOLISCargill Health & Food Technologies (H&FT) exhibited at the American Dietetic Association (ADA) conference in early October in Anaheim, Calif. The primary focus at the show was to further educate dietitians and other health professionals about the cardiovascular benefits of its CoroWise plant sterols.

It is exciting that big name consumer brands are launching great tasting, convenient, heart healthy products containing CoroWise plant sterols, said Steve Snyder, vice president of sales and marketing for Cargill H&FT (www.cargillhft.com). Foods containing at least 0.4 g/serving of plant sterols, consumed twice daily with meals, are eligible to carry an FDA health claim linking the intake to a reduced risk of heart disease.
