—Cargill (www.cargill.com) announced Vitalicious™ is now producing dark chocolate pomegranate VitaTops™ muffin tops with Cargill’s CoroWise™ Cholesterol Reducer plant sterols; Vitalicious is the first baked goods company to use CoroWise™ plant sterols in its product line. And in additional product news, following GRAS (generally recognized as safe) affirmation of Cargill’s REGENASURE® Glucosamine HCL, the ingredient was picked up by Coca-Cola for its Minute Maid Active™ orange juice, which contains 750 mg of REGENASURE per 8 fl. oz. serving, and is the first enhanced juice on the market to contain Cargill’s GRAS glucosamine.

“REGENASURE Glucosamine with GRAS status allows our food and beverage customers to confidently incorporate glucosamine into new or existing products, allowing them to innovate in mainstream markets and address consumer joint health needs with ease,” said Bill Gruber, vice president, Cargill Acidulants.
