Charkit Celebrating 25th Anniversary

EARIEN, Conn.—Charkit Chemical Corp. is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2007. The company, originally founded in 1982, was focused on supplying specific specialty chemicals to a narrow range of industries. Since then, the company has expanded internal resources and developed targeted business alliances to expand into the nutraceutical, personal care, pharmaceutical, flavor and fragrance industries.

Charles Hinnant, president of Charkit (www.charkit.com), noted: “The entrepreneurial spirit that launched our success is alive today even though we have experienced remarkable growth. Because of our willingness to adapt with the times, we implemented a policy of expanding our capabilities to meet the needs of a changing business environment. We have consistently accommodated market uncertainties and unexpected events, taking a flexible approach in all of our dealings.” Hinnant added the company has a five-year plan to expand its resources and facilities, including an anticipated relocation to larger headquarters in Norwalk, Conn.
