CreAgri Raises $8.3 Million in Venture Capital

HAYWARD, Calif.--CreAgri Inc., a company focusedon the discovery and development of antioxidant polyphenols from olive pulp,raised $8.3 million in its first round of venture financing. The Series A roundwas led by San Francisco-based Burril & Co., and included POSCO BioVentures,DSM Venturing BV, Foragen Technologies Management LP and Aurora Equity LLC.

"The company's products are backed by sound scientificevidence to prove their efficacy. According to Roberto Crea, chairman, chief scientist and founderof CreAgri, the financing will provide the company with both financial resourcesand potential corporate relationships to develop a range of applications for theantioxidant-based products.
