IRVINE, Calif.—Cyvex Nutrition Inc. announced a strategic alliance with Toronto-based C.K. Foods Inc. to distribute Cyvex’s line of proprietary nutritional ingredients to the Canadian natural food and dietary supplement industries. The companies originally teamed up in late 2005 to introduce Cyvex’s PomActive™ pomegranate extract in Canada; the success of the partnership led to the expansion of the strategic alliance.

Under terms of the multi-year agreement, CK Nutritional Ingredients will market, sell, warehouse and distribute the full line of Cyvex’s specialty ingredients, including PomActiv, AppleZin™, BerryVin™, AvoVida®, BioVin®, BioVinca®, BroccoPhane™, CranVida™ and Q-Vida™. All Cyvex branded ingredients are standardized to one or more key markers and verified with its trademarked NutriPrint™ quality assurance protocol.

“This agreement with CK Nutritional Ingredients is especially significant because Cyvex Nutrition’s founder, Gilbert Gluck, actually started our company in Toronto in 1984; in a sense, it’s like coming home,” said Charlene Lee, executive vice president and general manager, Cyvex (www.cyvex.com). “In addition, the Canadian dietary supplements market is thriving, with numerous opportunities, and through CK Nutritional Ingredients, Cyvex’ proprietary nutraceuticals are perfectly poised to bring effective natural health solutions to Canadian consumers.”
