Cyvex, Laboratoires Expanscience Settle Lawsuit
IRVINE, Calif.Cyvex NutritionInc. announced the settlement of a lawsuit filed by Courbevoie, France-basedLaboratoires Expanscience S.A. The lawsuit concerned claims surrounding anavocado-soy unsaponifiable compound marketed by Cyvex as AVOFLEX. Under terms ofthe settlement, Cyvex will no longer refer to AVOFLEX using the trademarks andabbreviated terms it used in previous promotions and advertising materials.Gilbert Gluck, founder and chief executive officer of Cyvex (www.cyvex.com),said the company admitted to no wrongdoing in the settlement.
