ANN ARBOR, Mich.David Begg Associates (DBA), an NSF International company with expertise in training, auditing and consultancy for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, changed its name to NSF-DBA. NSF-DBA combines NSF Internationals expertise in public health and the environment with DBAs 25 year health science expertise. A new logo is now in use at its three offices in the United Kingdom, United States and South Africa.
In 2007, NSF International acquired DBA to expand its range of health science services on a global scale, and in 2010 more than 60 training sessions were delivered to the pharmaceutical, biotech and dietary supplement industries. NSF-DBA reflects the dual benefit for the expanded portfolio of NSF-DBAs programs and services.
NSF-DBA trains health science professionals on regulatory compliance issues through good manufacturing practices (GMP), Human Error and Qualified Person and Quality Professional classes. NSF-DBA provides these services in Italy and Scandinavia and will launch a new course targeting the dietary supplements industry in the USA in 2011: Dietary Supplements Quality Professional.
We look forward to providing more training and expert services that address the increasing global demand for assistance in the areas of pharma, devices and dietary supplements," said Lori Bestervelt, Ph.D., NSF international senior vice president and chief scientific officer.
