David Michael Makes New SAAB Appointments

PHILADELPHIADavid Michael & Co. announced that Nancy Fogg-Johnson, Ph.D. and John Stanton, Ph.D. have joined the Strategic Alliance Advisory Board (S.A.A.B.). S.A.A.B. was formed in 1994 by David Michael & Co. to help address the food industrys movement toward Select Supplier programs. The mission of the board is to strengthen current corporate partnerships and develop, cultivate and nurture new, mutually rewarding strategic alliances.

As members of the Strategic Alliance Advisory Board, Fogg-Johnson and Stanton will assist with the mission to strengthen current corporate partnerships and develop, cultivate and nurture new, mutually rewarding strategic alliances with food and beverage manufacturers throughout North America.
Fogg-Johnson has a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Food Science from Kansas State University. She currently works as a Principal at Technology and Business Ventures, Inc. and is a founder of Nutri+Food Business Consultants, a consortium of consultants. Prior to forming NFBC, Nancy was Executive Vice President of Administration at the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia. She held two vice-president positions at Bayer Corporation with the responsibility for marketing, market research, medical affairs, strategic planning, regulatory affairs and acquisitions and licensing for North America. Before joining Bayer, Nancy served as Vice President Basic Science at Campbell Soup and Vice President Research Development and Quality Assurance for the Grocery Company of Nabisco Brands.
Stanton is a 30 year food industry veteran, and holds a Ph.D. in Quantitative Methods and Marketing from Syracuse University. He is currently professor and chairman of the food marketing department at Saint Josephs University in Philadelphia. John has served as Vice President of Marketing for Melitta, an international coffee company, and worked in Germany for Tengelmann, one of the worlds largest food retailers and owner of A&P in the USA.  He was formerly director of research of an advertising agency, and has consulted for many nationally known food companies including Campbell Soup Company, Procter & Gamble, Acme, Kroger, Frito-Lay and Kelloggs.
