Deer Industry New Zealand Debuts this Fall
WELLINGTON, New Zealand--The Game Industry Board (GIB)will change its name to Deer Industry New Zealand as of Oct. 1. The announcementof the change follows the ratification of a proposal for industry restructuringby the Deer Farmers Association (DFA) at its annual general meeting in May.
"The GIB has always had an industry-wide approach ratherthan any sectoral bias, and the new structure will further assist theintegration of our programs across all sectors and provide a strong and unifiedindustry voice," said Clive Jermy, chairman of the GIB (www.nzgib.org.nz).To help implement the changes, the GIB announced two new board members--StewartBarnett from the Deer Industry Association, and John Scurr, DFA president.
