DNP, Longma In Court Over Trade Secrets

WHITTIER, Calif.DNPInternational filed a complaint in late September in Orange County SuperiorCourt against Santa Ana, Calif.-based Longma Inc., HCT Group Inc. and theirchief executive officers (CEO). The suit alleges Longma and HCT have usedcertain of DNPs trade secrets to gain a competitive advantage, specificallyusing a DNP customer list allegedly illegally obtained by a former DNP employee.DNP sought a preliminary injunction against Longma to prevent the company fromdoing business with any DNP customers; however, the request was denied by the court.

Bin Li, Longmas legal counsel with the Law Offices of BinLin & Associates, told INSIDER thecompany was pleased the judge denied the preliminary injunction request, andthat it intends to vigorously defend against the accusations and is consideringfiling a countersuit against DNP.
