DSM to Build New Laboratory

HEERLEN, Netherlands--DSM announced it will build a new applications development laboratory for Food Specialties and Bakery Ingredients in Delft, Netherlands. The lab is slated for completion in the third quarter of 2003. About 12 million euros will be invested in the project. The facilities will accommodate more than 100 application specialists and product developers, and will produce a range of foodstuffs on a small scale for the purpose of testing food ingredients. The new facilities will serve as the ingredients development and application know-how center of DSM and will support DSM's broad network of Food Application Centers across the globe, the company said (www.dsm-group.com).
