Embria Conducts Wellness Program EpiCor Study

ANKENY, IowaEmbria Health Sciences followed-up on its City of Ankeny wellness trial with another wellness trial for Swanson Health Products.

According to Swanson Health Products, Swanson partnered with Embria to incorporate EpiCor into its Swanson Wellness Awareness Program (SWAP) Incentives plan during the cold weather months of November 2012 to March 2013. More than 120 employees signed up for the program to receive free EpiCor; 72 employees completed the four-month EpiCor regimen and completed the final survey.

According to the survey results, 78 percent of employees who took EpiCor regularly said they believe EpiCor beneffited their health. Additionally,, 82 percent want EpiCor to continue to be part of their wellness program, 86 percent would recommend EpiCor to others, and 67 percent believed that their immune system is strengthened from taking EpiCor.

"I'm very pleased with these sorts of benefits from Swanson Health employees, though I'm not surprised," said Paul Faganel, president of Embria. "Since EpiCor was launched in 2007, Embria has made significant investments in clinical research that shows taking EpiCor strengthens the immune system and results in significant human health benefits."

Embria Health Sciences' most recent research on EpiCor was published in the Journal of Agricultural Food Chemistry illustrating EpiCor's gut health benefits.
