GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--Five Star Brands completed a $10 millionfacility expansion and changed its name to Elan Nutrition. The private-labelmanufacturer opened a new 230,000-square-foot facility, representing a fivefoldincrease in capacity. The complex was built to advanced quality standards andalso incorporates an R&D lab adjacent to a full-scale pilot plant.

The company was founded in 1980 and currently manufactures 300 proprietaryproducts for more than 80 strategic partners in the sports nutrition, weightmanagement, meal replacement, nutraceutical and other consumer market segments.Elan Nutrition (www.elannutrition.com)manufactures a range of nutrition delivery systems, particularly nutritionalbars.
