Frutarom Acquires Flachsmann

HAIFA, IsraelFrutarom acquired Emil Flachsmann AG, a Swissproducer of flavors and fragrances; purchase price was not disclosed. Theacquisition was conducted through Frutarom (UK) Ltd., a wholly owned Frutaromsubsidiary.

Flachsmann operates production facilities in Switzerland, Canada and Denmark,with sales offices in Germany and Hungary. Its 180 employees will become part ofFrutaroms 650 employee base, which covers production and sales sites in NorthAmerica, Europe, Asia and Australia.

The acquisition of Flachsmann will strengthen the Frutarom Groupsstanding as a leading multinational company and bring it closer to achieving itsgoal of becoming one of the top 10 companies in the world in the flavor andfragrance field, said Ori Yehudai, president of Frutarom (www.frutarom.com).
