Galaxy Increases Distribution, Named Supplier of the Year

ORLANDO, Fla.--Galaxy Nutritional Foods (AMEX:GXY) reportedthat sales of its Veggie brand to Canada's leading food retailer increased 27percent over the past 12 months. According to Angelo Morini, chairman and chiefexecutive officer of Galaxy, this growth in sales to Loblaw Companies Ltd. isdue to the company's efforts to increase retail space by expanding the Veggiebrand, in addition to increasing global distribution.

Galaxy also reported that Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will directly distribute nineVeggie products to 578 Wal-Mart Supercenters. Galaxy planned to expand into 120more supercenters by the end of July.

Additionally, the company was named supplier of the year by Canada's largestdirect store distributor of retail perishable goods, DPI West. Of thedistributor's 7,400 products, six of Galaxy's products are among DPI West'stop-selling 75 products.
