(www.gardenoflife.com) announced a new chief executive officer(CEO), executive management team and board of directors. Greg Horn, the new CEOand vice chairman of the board, worked most recently as the co-founder ofSpecialty Nutrition Group and Brand New Brands Inc.; he is best known for hisstint as CEO of General Nutrition Centers (GNC). Several industry vets are amongthose joining Horn on the exec team. Irinia Lorenzi, vice president of productformulation and innovation, has held positions in marketing, buying and salesfor organizations including GNC, Numico and Natures Fresh! Northwest. RobertaModena, vice president of marketing, is another GNC vet, serving as its vicepresident of marketing. Lianne Maso de Moya, vice president of productdevelopment, worked with Horn in product development at Brand New Brands andpreviously worked with Rexall Sundown and Borden Foods.

The board of directors now includes Jordan S. Rubin, founderof Garden of Life; Thomas Aarts, co-founder of NutritionBusiness Journal; Anthony Almada, founder ofIMAGINutrition; David Axson, co-founder of The Sonax Group; Jonathan Cole, afinancial industry expert; and Brian Ray, former chief financial officer (CFO)for Garden of Life and current vice president of financial strategy forAmeripath.
