Gary Vannorsdel Aquires AGD Nutrition

LEWISVILLE, Texas—Gary Vannorsdel (Ray Ann & Associates) acquired AGD Nutrition LLC, Chicago. AGD Nutrition provides vitamin D2 and D3 products for both food and feed. AGD was formed in 2002 by four investors, including Dr. Arnold Hirsch, president of AGD since its inception. In 2003, AGD acquired the ColorGuard technology and brand from Alpharma. AGD continues to market these products as well as other feed grade sources. In addition to the feed sources, AGD is involved in the food and pharmaceutical business supplying both D Resin and crystalline material.
“We have had a long relationship with our friends at AGD,” Vnnorsdel said. “We have represented them through our brokerage company Frederick Sales LLC for the last five years. Recently, my son Erik assumed the presidency of Frederick Sales allowing me to assume my new role as president of AGD Nutrition. My close friend Dr. Arnold Hirsch will continue to be a part of our team. In addition to Dr. Hirsch we have contracted with Mac Weber, owner of Provitas LLC to represent AGD on the food and pharma side of the business. Mac brings a wealth of experience from the vitamin industry and we look forward to him being a part of our team as we transition into a new era for AGD Nutrition.”
