Glanbia Restructures International Business

MONROE, Wis.--Glanbia Plc established a newbusiness unit to integrate its international nutrition business under onemanagement structure. Glanbia Nutritionals (www.glanbianutritionals.com)will have an international network of sales offices and production sites. JerryO'Dea, formerly vice president of Glanbia Ingredients USA, is head of thebusiness unit. Additional managers are Andy Fleming, executive vice president offinance and strategy; Steve Singer, vice president of sales and customerservice; Robert Beausire, director of business development; and Eric Bastian,director of R&D.

"The creation of Glanbia Nutritionals is a vital componentof our growth strategy in the nutritional sector," said John Moloney, groupmanaging director of Glanbia Plc. "It brings together under one structurethe necessary innovation, sales and marketing, and strategic developmentresources required to advance our current position in this sector." Thegroup will actively develop existing operations, form strategic alliances andjoint ventures, and explore acquisition opportunities. As part of the move,Glanbia Nutritionals opened a new R&D and applications center in Twin Falls,Idaho, in December.
